Keeping the place alive... I'm building another Deluxe Strat for me, this one with two hums. Original Fender body, hardware etc. and then I found this neck: www.ebay.de/itm/232011542764I expected nothing special for mere 100 EUR, but BOY is it some nice lumber! North american maple, very stable and the flame is gorgeous despite it being "only" AA. The back shaping is identical to Fender's but the headstock is about an inch longer, which looks really nice too. The fret edges are rolled off a bit too much for my taste, but it will do for a non-floyd strat (current bridges are narrower, 54 instead of 56 mm spacing). For a floyd, the available fretting area might get a bit too narrow at the edges. But other than that this thing is just gorgeos and of unexpectedly good quality. The nut is plastic but I have a nice Graphtech nut waiting here. Really looking forward to this axe, the body and tuners should arrive till monday, the rest is already here.

That's a real nice looking neck. I would buy it too, if I was in the market for one.

Just assembled the electronics, red/black tortoise pickguard (H/H with two pots), volume pot with S1-switch for splitting... that on a black US Deluxe body. Yummy Like this but with black pups (Pearly Gates set): Plus Wilkinson VS trem, Fender/Schaller locking tuners and a Graphtech nut. Waiting for tuners + body now, still underway.
