cool, it was so random on the Korean line. as far as solid or ply. I traded that exact Red model for my current 310. my 600 was ply tho LOL

Interesting. I was thinking I would discover ply underneath the CAR finish, but this seems to be a soft maple. I am going with the idea that it's soft wood maple, like a silver maple. Really doesn't matter, it's pretty heavy, but the grain looks fairly nice to me.

I've got a solid wood 100 body that is quite possibly soft maple, it's bloody heavy I know that!

^^Thus I was pleasantly surprised to discover reasonable lumber. My roommate in college had this p.o.s. plywood guitar by Montoya, so I knew they were heavy. I guess I can't knock plywood Kramers, but the Montoya would have been effective if launched by a seige engine or a catapult.

Or dropped by a pair of African Swallows. *sad Monty Python plug* LOL but you know, on a serious note. a few good parts, a good setup. most guitars will sound good. Hell I am almost tempted to throw an emg SA or a hot rails in my daughters*cough* squier affinity just for giggles and watch it scream. the neck is amazing on that little turd. hahaha! |
