That is a good question. I was born later than most of you, so Kramers were not an integral visual part of my early experiences of rock. That being said, I became very partial to music from the 70s and 80s in my mid-teens (ca. 2000-2005), and I must have gotten to know Kramers gradually. However, despite the fact that none of my favourite guitar players ever really played them (with the exception of Lynch for a short while), there is something I find appealing about them, more so that other superstrats, even Charvels. I guess the site VintageKramer, which I have no idea how I came across, must have played a role, as there was so much interesting information about the intricacies of the guitars and their history there. This was something that, as far as I was aware, was not happening for most similar guitars at the time, and it may in fact have been the most important factor prodding me in that direction.
